In December, I had the privilege of speaking at the Wreaths Across America ceremony in Olive Branch, where we joined together to honor our service members. Their sacrifices remind us of the price of freedom and our responsibility to uphold the values they fought to protect.

DeSoto County’s growth continues to bring both challenges and opportunities. Meeting with the Homebuilders Association allowed us to discuss solutions to sustain growth while keeping homes affordable for new and existing homeowners. I’m committed to ensuring our community remains a great place to live, work, and raise a family.

Speaking at the Southaven Veterans Day Luncheon was a humbling experience. Our community’s dedication to honoring our veterans highlights the deep respect and gratitude we all feel for those who served. Supporting our veterans will always be a priority of mine, both in Jackson and here at home.

Returning home from my deployment in Europe with USAREUR-AF was a special moment, made even more meaningful by the warm welcome at the Ole Miss vs. Georgia football game. The love and support from my Rebel family sustain me in all I do, and I’m deeply grateful.

Celebrating my birthday alongside my military family during a drill with the Mississippi Army National Guard was a reminder of the strength and unity we share in service to our state and nation.

Escorting students from Hernando High School to the Capitol to witness the certification of the election was a powerful reminder of why we serve. Their enthusiasm and curiosity about the democratic process inspire hope for the next generation of leaders.

Throughout the year, I’ve met with community leaders, constituents, and local organizations to identify both challenges and opportunities for DeSoto County. From speaking with the Southaven Board of Aldermen and the Hernando Rotary Club to visiting with faith-based leaders and business owners, I’ve been working to ensure that your concerns are heard and addressed.

As we prepare for the legislative session, I remain focused on the priorities that matter most to you:

• Easing Financial Burdens: Cutting the grocery tax and income taxes to help families keep more of their hard-earned money.
• Strengthening Infrastructure: Securing road and infrastructure funding to to improve safety and reduce traffic congestion.
• Investing in Education: Increasing funding for classrooms, supporting our teachers, and ensuring school safety with more School Resource Officers (SROs).
• Fostering  Economic Growth: Supporting small businesses, homeowners, and local entrepreneurs who are the backbone of our economy.
