I have introduced several bills this session to support our cities, strengthen our troops, bolster public safety, and boost economic opportunities. Highlights include:
- HB1265: Creating a Sales Tax Diversion Study Committee to ensure our cities have the funds for our local infrastructure and projects.
- HB1268: Establishing the Mississippi Save Our Servicemember Task Force to address mental health needs in the military.
- HB1321: Launching a Defense Research and Development Program.
- HB1278: Creating the Hometown Heroes Home Loan Guaranty Program to help our local heroes (teachers, nurses, and first responders) afford to buy homes in the communities they serve.
- HB1279: Establishing the Mississippi JROTC Promise Grant Program to create pathways for our emerging leaders to pursue higher education.
- HB1272: Providing a Community Investment Tax Credit for affordable housing development.
- HB1276: Revising penalties for texting while driving.
- HB1277: Authorizing school resource officers for independent nonpublic schools to protect our children.

These initiatives are designed to empower our communities and ensure every Mississippian has the opportunity to succeed.
